This year, having surpassed all front-runners Top 9 from Saint Petersburg won the first place.
Last weekend, the annual official open breaking championship ROBC 2019 was held in Moscow. Bboys and bgirls from CIS, Korea, USA, Canada and Europe. Battles were held in 1 vs. 1 and crew vs. crew formats.
The distinctive feature of this event from all other Russian contests is that Russian Open Breaking Championship is the first official competition. When in 2018 breaking was recognized as a sports discipline and fell under the authority of the DanceSport Federation, several large official festivals were formed under governmental financing.
For the first time ROBC went down last autumn. The event was quite a success. This year the festival’s level grew higher.

In the first round Top 9 Crew faced the Russia crew One Peace Yes composed of dancers from various cities:

Afterwards, Top 9 went out against the last year champions Ilussion of Exist and had a confident win:

In keeping with the best traditions, the semi-finals went like the contests of 2008-2012 period for Top 9. The Saint Petersburg dancers faced young ambitious bboys from Korea Fusion MC and passed on to the finals:
