On June 7, 2019, V1 presents the open air Choir Battle
in the heart of Saint Petersburg.
We invite academic as well as amateur choirs to participate in the battle.
BATTLE STARTS at 19.30
RULES:
You have to register in order participate in the battle.
Any songs may be performed with the length of not exceeding 3-5 minutes. 6-7 various style songs must be prepared.
PERFORMANCE FORMATS:
- a’cappella.
- to any musical instrument you bring with you (piano will be provided at the venue).
- to a recorded instrumental track. The participants must bring their tracks on a USB flash drive in .wav or .mp3 format and submit them upon registration on the event day.
SCHEDULE:
17.40 - 19.15 – Choir gathering, registration, sound check (The order of registration and sound check will be announced beforehand).
19.30 – Selection (1 song or segment thereof 1-2 minutes long must be performed).
The jury panel shall select 8 choirs for participation in the battle.
20.00 - Battle. First round (1 song must be performed). In case there is no selection the Battle will start at 19:30 and two songs must be performed.
21.00 - Semi-final round (2 songs must be performed).
21.30 – Final battle (2 songs must be performed).
PRIZE FUND:
The winner shall receive the cash prize of 60,000 rubles.
